Men's Team Returns for the 2026/27 Season

​Westella & Willerby AFC is delighted to announce the return of our Men's First Team for the 2026/27 season, competing in the East Riding County League Championship Division.

 

This marks an exciting new chapter in the club's proud history as senior men's football returns with a strong foundation both on and off the pitch.

 

Leading the team is Manager Roger Cutsforth, whose experience and passion for the game make him the ideal person to guide the squad into this new era. Supporting Roger is Team Secretary Phil Wood, a familiar and respected figure at the club who previously held the same role during the men's team's most successful years. Phil's return brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable experience that will be instrumental throughout the season.

The squad is already shaping up to be an exciting blend of quality and experience. Players have joined the club from across the local game, with recent experience in the East Riding County League Championship, East Riding County League Premiership, and the Humber Premier League. Adding to that excitement, several former Westella & Willerby players from the club's glory years have dusted off their boots and returned to wear the black and white once again.

​The revival of the Men's First Team would not have been possible without the dedication and vision of Club President Peter Whinham. Peter has been instrumental in bringing senior football back to Westella & Willerby AFC, using his extensive experience to assemble a professional and committed management and backroom team.

There is a real sense of optimism around the club. With experienced leadership, a talented squad and the continued support of our members, volunteers and local community, everyone at Westella & Willerby AFC is looking forward to seeing the Men's First Team back in competitive action.
